Enjoy a day with the family with over 180 species of free-roaming animals – where you can get up close and personal with some of the friendliest kangaroos, wallabies and emus in New South Wales, marvel at the World of Fossils exhibition, see our brand-new reptile displays, go walkabout to ancient Aboriginal sites, discover bush tucker and bush medicine and join in the fun at our animal feeding times and hourly wildlife shows. Grab a lunch at our café or bring your own or, even better, why not try out the BBQ facilities…

We tailor packages for any age and interest group, as well as offering group and corporate packages

Bounce teh Joey Kangaroo Zoë, the park’s best-loved resident, is still caring for her daughter. She has been named Bounce. Congratulations to Joseph Arrua from Copacabana Public School. As the winner of the competition, Joseph not only got the honour of naming Bounce, but he also wins an annual pass to the Park for himself and a friend.

You've done MacDonalds. You've done home parties and cleaned up the mess afterwards. You've even done the zoo. Now it's time for something completely different!

Our adventure parties are designed for 4 to 12 year olds and don't forget we do do adult parties too - contact us for details.

Enjoy a stroll along the tracks through the sanctuary and spy on our resident koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, wallabies and emus.

Every weekday from Jan 3rd until the end of the school holidays - and we can make separate arrangements for Groups.

Due to demand from Crazy Critters Club Members, we have merged the best of our adventure series.
With rangers who are experts in bush tucker, bush medicine, the animals and their habitat and local Aboriginal history, walkabout park is an educational and entertaining attraction for the entire family.

See if you can spot goannas, snakes, (yes, this is Australia, we do have snakes), kookaburras, frogs, lyrebirds, and many others creatures that live happily in this protected animal sanctuary.

Michael Durrant - renowned palaeontologist-artist co-founder of the Australian Reptile Museum and curator of their fossil house ~ has established Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park's "World of Fossils" opened 26th September 2007 by Gosford's Deputy Mayor, Trevor Drake.

Learn about what fossils are and see amazing specimens from all over the world including right here in Sydney and on the Central Coast.

From the very real 'Crunchmonger' to mythical 'Snakestones', the tales these fossils tell give a whole new perspective on where we, and the animals we provide safe haven for at Walkabout Park, come from.

We protect a large area of old growth bushland and the animals roam freely in their natural habitat. However, many of the animals enjoy human contact and choose to hang around the visitor centre and along the paths. Where else can you encounter a swamp wallaby or an emu in the wild and learn about pythons and goannas by exploring their habitat with a bush ranger?
